VIDEO EDITING

In 2004, while attending the Art Institute of Charlotte, I took my first video editing class. The professor gave us about 3-4 hours of B roll from a Relay For Life event he filmed later that year. Our assignment was to create a 2-3 minute informational video of the event with full creative control.

Using Final Cut Pro 4, I categorized the video into segments so It would be easy to locate the perfect shot. I edited the video and played with the tempo for dramatic effects. Used LiveType for advanced titling. I added music and voice overs to give it a storyline and emotion.

Upon completion, my video was chosen and showcased in the Art Institute film festival. I was then selected by a director from NASCAR Images to shadow her for a week and see what it would be like if I were to continue working in video/film.
