With Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, I helped implement three successful SharePoint projects which where recognized with a promotion as a Business Analyst for special projects.

As a Web Designer/Developer on the web team from 2008-2011, we accomplished three successful SharePoint implementations, using Microsoft SharePoint 2007. The school system felt that if certain processes were put into place, users would be able to update and maintain information directly as the information changes.

The SharePoint projects include (ordered by relevance);

• External public facing website http://www.cms.k12.nc.us

• Separate site collection for all 189 schools http://schools.cms.k12.nc.us/

• Employee Intranet (secure site)

Each project shown took one year to complete with a team consisting of two web designer/developers (including myself) and 2 back end developers. Each member of the team wore many hats. My individual contribution to this project was as follows.

• Create site design and develop/code master page, page layouts and webparts

• Developed and maintained a central source of user guides, video tutorials, best practices and style guides

• Conducted hands-on training for content owners and school web masters.

• Provided continuous support for over 300 content owners as well as managed site permissions
